Folk pride.
Built in Sydney.

Sixteen years, one mission — to carry Punjabi folk music and movement onto every stage Sydney has to offer, and to teach the next generation along the way.

Our story

Rooted in culture built for the stage

BASS started in 2010. Four mates in Glenwood who wanted to learn Bhangra for a dance party — no studio, no coach, just a dhol and YouTube.

We entered our first comp two years later and never really stopped. Sydney to LA to Toronto over sixteen years, picking up wins at BDU, HCB, Bruin Bhangra, and Championships of Bhangra along the way. Most recently, first place at MBC 2026.

Australia's most decorated Bhangra crew.
